TETAVIN (Tetanus Antitoxin 1500 I.U.) - Vial
Tetanus antitoxin is prepared by hyperimmunising horses with Tetanus toxoid. Plasma obtained from healthy immunised horses is enzyme refined, purified and concentrated. The Tetanus antitoxin has the specific antitoxic immunoglobulins which neutralize the toxin formed by Clostridium tetani the causative organism of Tetanus infection.
Indications – In the treatment of Tetanus disease caused by Clostridium tetani.
Pharmaceutical Form – Solution for injection by intramuscular or subcutaneous route.
Presentation – Containing 1500 I.U. in 1 ml glass vials
Storage – Liquid : 2 – 8°C

Diptheria antitoxin is prepared by hyperimmunising Equines with diphtheria toxin/toxoid. Plasma obtained from hyperimmunised Equines which is rich in antibodies to diphtheria toxin is enzymatically refined, purified and concentrated. The antitoxin has specific capacity of neutralizing toxin by Corynebacterium diphtheriae, the causative organism of diphtheria.
Indications – In the treatment of diphtheria

GANGREVIN
Mixed Gas-gangrene Antitoxin is composed of purified polyvalent protein fractions derived from the equine plasma containing specific immunoglobulins. The Antitoxin contains purified Immunoglobulin Fragments (F(ab)2) with Cresol < 0.25% v/v as a preservative. One vial in the pack contains mixture of anti-toxins against 3 causative agents, which are common for clinical cases of gas gangrene i.e Clostridium perfringens , Clostridium oedematiens & Clostridium septicum.
Indications – The preparation is used for prevention and treatment of gas gangrene
Pharmaceutical Form – Clinical treatment of gangrene with the Antitoxin is featured as a slow intravenous infusion of the Antitoxin.
